Opt Out Organ Donation

Issues: Organ Donation.
Some countries, such as Austria, Spain and Sweden have an opt out organ donor system, whilst in the UK we have an opt in system. Currently individuals have to sign up to be a donor at http://www.organdonation.nhs.uk. The British Medical Association, many transplant surgeons, and some patients’ groups and politicians are keen to see Britain to change this, so it is assumed that an individual wishes to be a donor unless he or she has opted out by registering their objection to donation after their death. Certainly would make life easier for the lazy amongst us (ie everyone).
