We Are What We Do launches Action Stationery to change the world

We Are What We Do, the not-for-profit company behind the best-selling book Change the World for a Fiver, and the I’m Not a Plastic Bag Shopper, is revolutionising traditional stationery by launching a set of environmentally-friendly products packed with Actions — small, good things to do everyday, to inspire the uninspired and get people doing more.

Chunky, durable and in sunglass-requiring colours, the lined Action Notebooks come in three different sizes and are full of bright ideas — literally.  One fuschia-coloured page boldly suggests you “Have a bath with someone you love”. Other colourful inspirations include “Do something you think you can’t do”, “Learn one good joke” or “Or do something for nothing”.

The Action Diaries are the perfect stocking filler. They are week-per-view and have an idea per week, cleverly weaved into the design of each page.

The set of Action Pencils features a range of ideas to inspire you while you scribble. The only pencil in the set with an eraser on the end tells us “Don’t worry if you make a mistake.”

The entire stationery range is printed on FSC paper, is shipped (not flown) from their responsible printers in Singapore and all profits go the We Are What We Do Charitable Foundation, funding school and community education projects. So just by purchasing one you’re already doing a little bit of good.

These colourful, quirky creations are available from wearewhatwedo.org/shop and a selection of retailers nationwide, including Waterstones and Paperchase, for RRP of £2 to £6.

Notes to Editors

We Are What We Do is a not-for-profit company, registered charity number 1134546, that creates ways for millions of people to do more small, good things, which help address major social and environmental issues.

Founded in 2004, We Are What We Do has published three titles, ‘Change The World For A Fiver’ which sold over one million copies worldwide, ‘Change The World 9 to 5’ which was launched by David Cameron in 2006 and ‘Teach Your Granny To Text and other ways to change the world’ which was given to every school in the country by the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) as a teaching resource.

A collaboration with Anya Hindmarch and Sainsbury’s in 2007 launched the I’m NOT a Plastic Bag shopper, taking the issues onto the front pages and helping Sainsbury’s reduce the number of free carrier bags issued by 58% in the following two years.
