An important date for the diary is World Water Week (17 - 23 August) and is held in Stockholm. We all know water is an important resource, so it''s no-brainer that the week is dedicated to analysing the progress and prospects in our global efforts to build a clean and healthy world. Prepare to let your smile loose on London underground...Inspired
by Action 5 on the 5th July 2008, between 12 noon and 2pm Underground
Smilers will travel round London underground (they travel in white
teeth blinding teams of 4 to 6) and are starting at Liverpool Street. The idea
is to play a game with the sole purpose of sending (creating) and
receiving (catching) as many smiles as possible with fellow tube
travellers.

On the 30th June 2008, Envision, the youth empowerment charity, will be bringing hundreds of young Londoners together for Flava Fiesta – an event about ethical and healthy eating. To mark the Year of Food and Farming, young people will be creatively campaigning through interactive theatre and inviting the public to pledge to eat more sustainably.There will be a range of stalls selling local and fairly traded food and running activities. Swap just one car trip and Change Your World
Sustrans, the sustainable transport charity, is asking all of us to join in its annual Change Your World campaign this June and July.The message behind the campaign is simple – if each of us swap just one car journey during the week of 30 June – 5 July and walk, take public transport, or cycle instead, we’d take a massive 10% of traffic off the road.Imagine – we’d have quieter roads, cleaner air, and improved health and quality of life.
